TANHANANEWS.COM, Jakarta — Delightful colours of fireworks illuminate Papua’s night sky on Saturday, October 2nd. Thousands of human beings are locally and internationally vociferous watching from Lukas Enembe Stadium. The audiences are triumphant with the cultural and cantillation performance along with the concepts of the whole ceremony.
The Sports Palace was just officialized earlier in the same morning by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi. The name Papua Bangkit marks the rise of Indonesian from the east as the sun rises.
Hosted by Raffi Ahmad, Intan Saumadina, Piter Ginuny and Irsa Yoku, the 2021 National Sports Week of Indonesia in Papua has officially started. People are joyously expecting a lot from the beginning. Since this remarks a historical and enormous event held in the eastern part of Indonesia, PON could be held in Papua again in the following one and half century.
Various emotions filled the stadium from the 1st VIP to some ordinary people, from merry and blue to the one which unites the whole audience: nobled and obviously superb. After the PON flag is raised and the legendary athletes bring out the torch to burn the arena, the tears of joy can no longer be held. This legendary momentum will always be taken on a trip down on memory lane.
Even though some sports have begun since September 22nd, the opening ceremony can help to continue the spirits of sports. This event is filled in by various talented artists such as Kaonak Group Papua, Michael Jakarimilena, Nowela Elizabeth Auparay, Vien Mangku featuring Qhiba Mansawan, Joanita Chatarine, Papua Original, Edo Kondologit, Trio Papua, Albert Fakdawer, Oyandi Voice, also Cenderawasih University Gema Chandra Choir Group as the local prides and D’Uzzy, Tulus, Ruth Sahanaya, Lea Simanjuntak as the well-known Indonesian singers to add the celebration to the highest.
